Minister Champagne in Montreal to highlight measures on combatting economic crimes and provide update on fighting fraud

Montreal, Quebec - The Honourable Francois-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Finance and National Revenue, will outline the Government of Canada's plan to combat economic crime activities that harm Canadian individuals, businesses and communities, including addressing growing extortion concerns and providing an update on developing the National Anti-Fraud Strategy.

He will be joined by Rachel Bendayan, Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister, Ian Lafrenire, Quebec Minister of Public Security, Soraya Martinez Ferrada, Mayor of Montreal, and Fady Dagher, Chief of the Service de police de la Ville de Montreal. A media availability will follow.
